in Japan, there is a popular TV show called Super Change, Change, Change which lasted for two decades. It allows participants to use simple props to mimic the familiar things around us in a very short time - characters, animals, insects, fish, electric iron, toaster, trams, fireworks and even fried large shrimp, anything you can image. It develops children's creativity and innovative capacity. The programme was hugely popular since its introduction in China, but no one had yet seen a live performance version. China Children Arts Troupe and Japan Road Theatre teamed up to launch the Little Jeep Go!, which uses the unexpected interpretation to make the kids strongly interest in the things around them and use starting their imagination to make them come alive.
The play is about how a little fire engine jeep becomes a fire-fighting hero. in the upper part of this children's drama, carrots, cucumber, garlic and other vegetables and towels, clamps, sponges and other little props, in the hands of the actors, transform into a variety of little animals - the long-nose elephant, the juggling bear, and finally the a very aggressive crab made from a sponge and two clips. All this is just so amazingly rich in imagination. As to the latter part of the play, it is about how a little jeep becomes a fire-fighting hero with his own courage, wisdom and dexterity, which tells the children, "Although I am little, I can do it!"
