At the invitation of ASSITEJ, FENG Li, President of China National Theatre for Children and ASSITEJ China Centre, led a delegation of three people to Havana, Cuba from May 24 to 30, 2024, to participate in the 21st ASSITEJ World Congress and the "Voice of New World" Performing Arts Theatre Festival. During their stay, they participated in activities such as the General Assembly, the Asia Theme Roundtable, and the Africa Day Workshop. They also had meetings with the BRICS TYA Alliance, representatives from Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand etc.. The ASSITEJ World Congress is held every three years and serves as an important platform for exchange and cooperation in the international TYA industry. A total of 483 international representatives from 85 countries participated in both online and in person.
In the General Assembly
During the General Assembly, the delegation listened to and voted on the work reports, proposals and plans, also had panel discussions about international cooperation.
Meanwhile, Ms. Feng participated in Asian Theme Roundtable representing China together with delegates from Japan, South Korea, India, Pakistan and Mongolia, discussing about Asian TYA exchange.

Ms. Feng also had conversations with delegates from BRICS TYA Alliance, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia and UK, aiming to expand cooperation channels and deepen cooperation in multiple fields.

During their visiting, Ms. Feng met with Cultural Counsellor from Chinese Embassy in Cuba Ms. HAN Lixin, they went to visit the theatre of La Colmenita.
